A Journey by the Ocean

Circles in the Sand has a four-day draw series of walking labyrinths starting tomorrow, June 17th, 2023. The intricate paths, crafted on the sandy beach, offer a walking meditation experience that embraces the beauty of the ocean environment. This series of labyrinth walks coincides with the celebration of Father’s Day on Sunday.

Labyrinths take us on a physical journey. They offer a unique form of meditation where the path has a beginning and an end. With each step, we can immerse ourselves in the rhythm of the ocean waves and the gentle touch of the sand beneath our feet. Walking a labyrinth becomes an act of mindfulness, as we release our worries and embrace the present moment, finding solace in the rhythm of the sea.

Father’s Day is a time to celebrate and express gratitude for the paternal figures in our lives. If you walk with us on Father’s Day you will find unique art along the path specifically crafted to honor the essence of fatherhood. You may find that the ocean’s energy will be your guide, reminding you of the vastness of a father’s love and the depth of their presence in your life. Labyrinths represent the twists and turns we encounter in life’s journey. Walking becomes a metaphorical exploration of our relationship with our fathers as we navigate through different phases, seeking understanding, and embracing the lessons they impart. Circles in the Sand invites participants and observers to reflect joyfully on their experiences with fatherhood. The labyrinth's path encourages contemplation, celebration, and healing.

In addition to the celebration of Father's Day, the upcoming series will feature captivating art themes inspired by Zen philosophy, the vastness of the ocean, and the wonders of the celestial realm. As always, the paths themselves are uniquely crafted each morning on the sand, without any pre-drawn outlines.

Mark your calendars for the upcoming draw series, running from Saturday, June 17 through Tuesday, June 20, 2023. Join us at 9 AM Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. On Tuesday the walk will start at 10 AM. Take a walk with us this series and embrace the ever-changing nature of life and find solace in the ocean’s gentle embrace.
