Today we wrapped up our three-day Circles in the Sand series, and our hearts are full. We are so grateful to everyone who helped bring this series to life—from our amazing volunteers on and off the sand to the visitors who walked the path with curiosity, reverence, and joy.
Each morning, the labyrinths came alive thanks to the steady hands and open hearts of our rakers. We welcomed both new faces and returning friends, including Clare, who has been coming to Bandon every summer for at least five years to rake with us. Her dedication (and joyful spirit) is part of what makes this experience so meaningful.
The weekend winds added their own artistic touch to the paths and patterns on Saturday and Sunday, creating unexpected beauty in the blowing sands. Nature has a way of reminding us that every labyrinth walk is a one-of-a-kind experience.
Saturday’s walk held special meaning as we were honored to be included in the Coastal Memory Walk to End Alzheimer’s. We created a special Memory Circle next to our Dedication Circle, where participants were invited to write the name of someone they’ve lost to this disease. Seeing the circle fill with names—and watching the procession of people in purple walk the labyrinth—was deeply moving.
If you’re looking for a Circles in the Sand T-shirt, sweatshirt, or other keepsakes, be sure to check out our Marketplace on the website or see a limited selection at Sweet Peas in Bandon. If you love what we do and want to support our work, donations are always appreciated. Your contributions help us continue creating these special labyrinth experiences for all to enjoy. Thank you to everyone who showed up, raked, walked, supported, and shared the journey with us. Whether you came for the first time or the fifth, you are a part of this community.
Our next series runs July 12–15, 2025. Mark your calendar and check out our full schedule at sandypathbandon.com.
See you on the sand.
