Take a walk on the Sand

We're heading back to the beach. Our next Circles in the Sand draw series kicks off tomorrow, and we couldn't be more excited to share three mornings of low tides, fresh air, and beautiful labyrinths with you.

Here's the lineup:

Wednesday, June 17 — 9:00 AM

Thursday, June 18 — 9:00 AM

Friday, June 19 — 10:00 AM

The tides are looking fantastic across all three days, and the weather is shaping up to be gorgeous, exactly the kind of conditions that make this stretch of southern Oregon coast feel like a little piece of wonder.

One heads-up for Wednesday: it's going to be a breezy one. If wind isn't your favorite companion on the sand, come out earlier rather than later. We're planning to tuck in around Wizard's Hat if we can, which should offer a little natural shelter. Sometimes the beach has its own ideas, but we'll do our best.

As always, the times listed are when the labyrinth will be open and ready to walk. Our team will be out there about two hours ahead of that time getting everything drawn and detailed. Once you arrive, plan on roughly 20 minutes to walk the path, though many folks linger much longer. The tide makes the decisions about how long we stay, so come when you can and soak it all in.

Parking at Face Rock Wayside fills up quickly, so give yourself a little extra time. Oregon State Parks requires a $10 day-use parking fee or a valid annual permit. If the lot is full, there is overflow public parking about half a mile south down the road at the Tish-a-Tang beach access. It's a great option as there are no stairs to navigate to get on the sand.

See you on the sand.
