This past Saturday, Florence, Oregon witnessed a beautiful convergence of people and nature at the Circles in the Sand labyrinth walk. Despite the morning’s cloudy skies that obscured a solar eclipse, the day turned out to be a resounding success, bringing together a diverse community of individuals for a unique and memorable experience.
Team Circles created two labyrinths this year. Both entrances were close to each other but then one headed north and another one to the south. Nestled among the picturesque dunes of Florence’s coastline, the labyrinths drew visitors from far and wide. Our “Celestial” theme provided opportunities to be creative with glass floats and other orbs, rock stacks and detailed art.
We would like to thank our sponsors for inviting us to Florence: Sand Master Sandboarding, Driftwood Shores Resort and Conference Center, Mo’s Seafood & Chowder, BJ’s Ice Cream, the Florence Chamber of Commerce, Sea Lion Caves, Lofy Construction LLC, Sand Dunes Frontier, and all of those who coordinated the Rhody Express shuttle service this year.
Hope to see you on the sand again next year in Florence.
