"We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal" were the powerful words from the Declaration of Independence written at the end of the labyrinth today. Circles in the Sand was proud to be on the beach this morning to commemorate July 4th, 2020. This was an additional day that the team added to the schedule as a means of celebration when many other venues are cancelled. It was a spectacularly calm and gorgeous morning at Face Rock Wayside beach.
Sandy stars, stripes and fireworks could be seen along the path. Christine started us off with the themed Dedication Circle, Jacque created a special shell mandala just for today, Donna was inspired to Let Freedom Ring with her art, and James and Bethe created some stirring raked designs.
The tide pushed us today a you can see from many of the pictures. Pelicans flew by as the water washed away the labyrinth. You are invited to join us on the sand tomorrow for the second of a five-day draw series.
Team Circles wishes you all a happy and safe 4th of July!
