We have three beautiful mornings coming up and we hope you will join us on the sand.

Monday, May 18, at 9 AM, Tuesday, May 19, at 9 AM, and Wednesday, May 20, at 10 AM.

The tides are in our favor and the forecast looks clear of morning rain. This is Bandon, so come prepared for wind, but the conditions are shaping up for a wonderful series.

If you have never joined us for the opening talk before the draw walk begins, we encourage you to arrive a few minutes early. Each day we open with a short informational talk from an Oregon Fish and Wildlife ambassador. In just a few minutes they share what is happening right now along our stretch of coastline: which birds are beginning to nest on the sea stacks, how the harbor seal pup population is growing down at Coquille Point, and the etiquette we all can follow near the tidepools.

You will also learn why drones are prohibited in this area, why dogs must remain on leash, and why the posted signs ask visitors not to climb the rocks. Every one of those guidelines connects directly to the health and livelihood of the marine and avian life that calls this coastline home.

We are deeply grateful to Oregon Fish and Wildlife for their ongoing partnership with Circles in the Sand. Their knowledge helps all of us become better stewards of this remarkable place, so that every generation of visitors to come can experience it just as we do today.

See you on the sand.
