Day One, July 2: Hearts on the Sand at Cathedral Rock

The sand was ready, the tide cooperated, and today we kicked off our three-day July draw series with a heart-themed labyrinth set against the dramatic backdrop of Cathedral Rock. There's something especially fitting about drawing hearts in the shadow of one of Bandon's most iconic formations — a reminder of why we do this work, together, on this beach.
Team photographer Charlie Wollertz was on hand to capture the morning, and he'll be with us for all three days of this series. Take a look at a few of his images from today's walk (no drone photography, just lots of Charlie's creativity):
You can also find more of Charlie's work on his YouTube channel.
If you missed us today, there's still time to join in:
Tomorrow, Friday, July 3 — 9:00 AM
Saturday, July 4 — 10:00 AM
All of our walks are at Face Rock Wayside. A few logistics to keep in mind: parking is limited, so we recommend arriving early, and there's a $10 daily fee unless you already hold an Oregon Parks day pass.
Circles in the Sand is entirely volunteer-run, and donations help us keep bringing these labyrinths to the beach. If you're able to contribute, you can do so anytime at sandypathbandon.com.
See you on the sand.
