Our Fish and Wildlife Ambassadors

We have had the pleasure of partnering with ambassadors from the Fish and Wildlife Service this summer. They have added a new level of enrichment to our labyrinth walks. All summer Ann and Pat gave a short but informative speech at the beginning of our walks about respecting the natural habitat we share on the beach. Back in May I posted a blog entitled Our Shoreline Ecosystem which gave an overview of what the ambassadors cover. We have received so many positive comments from our visitors about what they learned about not climbing the rocks, how to observe tidepools, what not to do when you see seal pups on the beach, and which birds are nesting and where.

We are so grateful to Ann and Pat for taking the time to share their knowledge of our Oregon coastal environment with everyone. They gave Denny the perfect segue from respecting the natural habitat around us to respecting each other. We hope you both are back on the sand with us next summer. Thank you from Team Circles.

We have two more days of our summer season tomorrow, Tuesday, August 24, and Wednesday, August 25 with the walks starting at 9:00 AM both days.

Ann always concluded with these words of wisdom, "Kill nothing but time, take only photos and leave nothing behind but footprints."

See you on the sand.
