Experience the Magic of the 8th Annual Weekend at Heceta Beach

Mark your calendars for a weekend of beauty, reflection, and connection as Circles in the Sand returns to the central Oregon coast for its 8th Annual Florence Weekend, October 18 and 19, 2025.

This beloved event will take place on Heceta Beach, directly in front of Driftwood Shores Resort and Conference Center, where the sand becomes a canvas for walkable labyrinths, community art, and moments of peace shared by all who gather.

Walks Begin at 5:00 PM Both Days

Join us Saturday and Sunday at 5:00 PM to walk the beautifully crafted sand labyrinths—known as “Dreamfields.” These intricate designs are created by the Circles in the Sand team, led by founder Denny Dyke, along with a talented group of volunteers who bring each curve and swirl to life as the tide recedes.

As you walk, you’ll be surrounded by the rhythmic sound of the ocean and the wide, open sky—a setting that invites quiet reflection, joy, and connection.

Special Guests and Coastal Artistry

This year’s event will feature three guest artists, each bringing their own creative touch to the weekend. Together, they’ll help shape this year’s Dreamfields and inspire visitors through the blending of art, nature, and movement.

Kites in the Sky — and Lights at Night

Adding even more magic to the weekend, colorful kites will fill the air near the walking area during both events. As the sun sets, look to the night sky for special lighted kites flying near the resort—an enchanting coastal sight that perfectly complements the artistry unfolding on the sand below.

Meet and Greet with the Circles Team

New this year, guests are invited to attend informal Meet and Greet gatherings with the Circles in the Sand team:

• Saturday evening after the walk, 7-8 PM

• Sunday morning before the walk-, 11AM-1 PM

These relaxed gatherings will be held at Driftwood Shores Conference Center. They are a wonderful opportunity to meet the artists, ask questions, and learn more about the inspiration behind Circles in the Sand and its traveling coastal labyrinths.
