We're thrilled to announce the next Circles in the Sand draw series, happening from Friday, June 7th to Monday, June 10th, 2024. This enchanting event will take place at Face Rock Wayside in Bandon, Oregon, where you can walk through a beautiful sand labyrinth and enjoy the serene coastal atmosphere.
Event Details:
Friday, June 7th: The walk starts at 9 AM
Saturday, June 8th: The walk starts at 9 AM
Sunday, June 9th: The walk starts at 10 AM
Monday, June 10th: The walk starts at 10 AM
Each day will feature a different theme, and while the specific location may shift slightly north or south of Face Rock, you can expect a tranquil and meditative experience on the sandy shores.
What to Expect: The labyrinths are designed to be walked and enjoyed by all. Our team begins drawing the labyrinths about two hours before the scheduled start time. Once the paths are ready, they will be open for walking and will remain walkable for about two hours, depending on the tide. A Fish and Wildlife Ambassador joins us at the walk start time to give a quick overview of beach stewardship including updates on the seal pups, the nesting birds, and how to tidepool responsibly.
Parking and Shuttle Information: Parking at Face Rock Wayside can fill up quickly. To make your visit more convenient, there is a free shuttle running approximately every fifteen minutes between the Bandon Community Center (1200 11th St) and the Face Rock Wayside parking lot.
Circles in the Sand aims to share love, joy, and kindness through these temporary works of art. We recommend arriving early to enjoy the full experience. And, as always, dress for the weather.
