We just wrapped up a spectacular four-day Circles in the Sand draw series, and what a success it was! The weather was on our side, offering us some sunshine and only one windy day to accompany the beautiful art that was created in the sand. It was wonderful to see so many people come out and walk the labyrinths, connecting with the intricate designs and coastal beauty.
Each day, we design a labyrinth around a distinct theme, carefully selected to capture the diverse beauty of our world. These themes aren’t just random choices; they serve as a creative guide for our detail artists, helping them decide what specific art to bring to life in the sand. By focusing on a different theme each day, we infuse the labyrinths with unique energy and meaning, whether it’s the fluidity of ocean waves, the calming simplicity of Zen, the mystery of the celestial skies, or the warmth of love. This approach ensures that each day offers a fresh, new experience, inviting walkers to connect with the natural world and the art as they walk.
A huge thank you goes out to everyone who showed up to rake alongside us. Whether you were working in the parking lot or on the sand, your efforts made this event possible. We truly couldn’t do it without our dedicated volunteers who help bring these labyrinths to life. Thanks for being a vital part of our community.
As our summer season winds down, we look forward to our final three draws of the season on August 21, 22, and 23, 2024. We hope to see many familiar faces and maybe some new ones as we celebrate the end of another incredible summer on the beach.
